Modern Vanities: Why You Should Upgrade
Are you inclined towards modern vanities? Given the option, would you choose to keep your older vanities or have them repaired, instead of buying these new vanities, with their elementary designs? It seems that not everyone enjoys the way these vanities look, especially if they live in traditional houses. To some users, it may be a matter of personal preference, while for others, it's the feeling of familiarity they have with older looking things.
In cases like these, you may opt to buy traditionally styled modern vanities instead. Vanities are still being produced in traditional designs or copied from them. But these have been brought up to date to accommodate modern sensibilities and building materials. If you only intend to stick with the look of traditional vanities, you won't see the difference.
However, these older style vanities are also significantly pricier. For most people, these vanities may be too expensive, or are not reasonably priced. Modern vanities are created to be cost-effective, and are comparatively easier to install, use and maintain. As a result, some people can not avoid buying new vanities, whether they want to or not.
In situations like this, they still are not satisfied with having a contemporary vanity. These vanities might match the bathroom and home they live in, but they may not feel that these vanities are pleasing. Some of them may not want to give in to change. However, their concerns should not be disregarded completely.
If you choose not to get a contemporary vanity, that's alright. But remember that you would be missing out on better designed vanities. These vanities leave a smaller carbon footprint, as well as being more resistant to fire, termites, flooding and other hazards. Overall, they are designed to last longer, so in that sense, they are better than older vanities.
You can surely find contemporary bathroom cabinets that will work with a traditional bathroom. It just requires a lot of patience and some imagination. You will want cabinets in colors and designs that duplicate the look of wood or stone, even if they are not actually made of these materials. When looking at a specific cabinet, imagine it in the bathroom. Then you can decide if you like how it looks in there, and if it will work with the rest of the house.
It seems that not everyone enjoys the way these modern vanities look, especially if they live in traditional houses. If you would rather not get a contemporary vanity, that's OK.
